One of the best things about visiting a Halloween patch in Las Vegas is that you can find a big, beautiful pumpkin and take it home with you. Carving a gigantic pumpkin can be a challenge due to the thickness of the pumpkin’s skin. If you are not up for carving the pumpkin into a jack-o’-lantern, consider some of these other ways to decorate it.

You can use acrylic paints to decorate your pumpkin. This is a great option if your kids want to do the decorating. You can dip sponges into the paint or use a brush to apply it. If you have kids doing the painting, consider a washable paint. You could even use stencils in the shapes of bats, cats or moons for a fun seasonal look.

Push-in Decorations

Another way to decorate the pumpkin from the pumpkin patch is to use a kit with push-in decorations. You can find these kits in many retail stores. The kits are often themed with different pieces to make your pumpkin look like a cat, a witch or a funny looking person with a mustache, glasses and big ears. You could even attach some straw as hair or put a furry wig on the top of the pumpkin.

Stickers are another fun option to decorate the pumpkins from a pumpkin patch. If you would like a glamorous pumpkin, choose flashy stickers such as rhinestones. Glittery stickers can also be fun. Look for seasonal stickers in the shapes of cats and bats. Glow-in-the-dark stickers are also available. You can find sheets of stars, moons, hearts and dots that glow in the dark and will help to make your pumpkin the talk of the neighborhood. After Halloween, the stickers can be removed, and you could compost the pumpkin.
